Beginner Quilting Class
The beginner quilting class is taught in five sessions. The class covers color theory, fabric selection, cutting, piecing, sashing, quilting and binding a quilt. Each phase of the quilting process is explained. Patterns are provided to illustrate each quilting technique. The final product is a 45" X 45" quilt top.
The beginner quilting class uses very basic forms of quilt patterns to teach three different geometric shapes. In this photo, the student is learning how to pin baste the quilt top as a prelude to quilting.
