“Aunt Be Quilts”, (pronounced Ain't Bee), is devoted to the craft of quilt making and fiber arts. The focus of our work is the preservation of quilt history, the retention of quilt making as an art and the transfer of knowledge and information related to quilt making and quilting techniques. Aunt Be Quilts promotes its mission through a) conducting research and documenting quilt history, b) teaching the art of quilt making and quilting techniques, and c) producing quilts and other forms of fiber arts for public display.
Aunt Be Quilts has been in operation for more than five years. We conduct lectures, produce quilts for private collections and display quilt works in Quilt shows. Aunt Be teaches quilting classes for the National Black Arts Festival and for a major retail chain fabric store in Decatur, Georgia.
